Advocacy sometimes feels equal parts rewarding and frustrating. Conflict seemingly lurks around every corner, whether with community members, fellow advocates, government officials or others.
Thankfully, we have Mary Lee Brock, Assistant Professor and Assistant Director of the Negotiation and Conflict Resolution (NCR) Program at Creighton University to help us.
Workshop participants will have the opportunity to explore the dynamics of conflict and reflect upon a personal approach to conflict; learn how to prepare for and handle difficult conversations; develop strategies to effectively engage with high conflict individuals and practice conflict management tools to productively manage conflict and to help prevent conflicts from escalating.
